CrossFit Kids - Pirate Races

For everyone who did Fran yesterday, today is a rest day.  For those of you who didn't, today is a make up day for you.

  1. Monday night at Brand X, we had 15 kids. We split them into 2 groups. One group practiced pull ups while the other did the workout. Then we switched. The kids all loved the pull up work, and they all enjoyed the teamwork in the workout.

    Pair up the kids. Since we had an uneven number, one of our trainers paired with a child.

    Position team member#1 at the starting line.

    Position team member#2 25M away.

    -#1 throws the medicine ball for distance until he reaches #2.
    -#1 stays where #2 has been at the mid-point, while #2 throws the medicine ball to the finish line.(25M, When #2 reaches the finish line, the medicine ball will have traveled 50M.)
    -#2 runs the ball back to #1 who is waiting at mid-point.
    -#2 stays at mid-point while #1 runs the ball back to the starting line.

    Continue this for all 4 exercises.
    -Medicine ball for distance
    -Broad jumps
    -Farmer's walk (walk weights back rather than running)
    -Lunges
