Wow! What incredible work you all are doing.
Chris, Maria is right. Scaling is based on ability rather than age, though age will sometimes determine ability. Start out slowly and find what works for each child independently.
Tonight at Brand X, we did a similar workout to what the adults did today.
3 rounds
Max reps dumbbell shoulder press
Max reps ring rows
Partner up and rest while your partner works. We are still dealing with ashes and smoke, so we're keeping high intensity workouts to a minimum for a few days.
Then we did caterpillar races.
Good job everyone!
Jeff, Christian is my co worker who put us up for 3 of the 5 nights we had to be away from Ramona. His beautiful (pregnant!) wife, Kate, was gracious and sweet and we felt like we were staying with Family. Christian kept Bradley from missing home by playing with him and practicing Karate and Crossfit. I'm truly thankful that my friends at work were there for me and my family when we needed a stable place for Bradley. Being moved from place to place the space of days was very difficult on Bradley and being able to stay put for those days was a godsend.
I thought you should know that the person you posted on the CrossFit Kids site is a man of honor and integrity and truly gave of his heart to help a Brand X Kid.
Send them to me at:
Amber - 6.24 (17" boxjump)
Summer - 4.31
How do we post pictures? We wanted to post pics of the bellybutton pull-ups and today's wod. Thank you!
Nice work, Amber & Summer. CrossFit will make you stronger and faster swimmers.
Forgot to mention, we did not have a rope, so omitted the climb.
2 rounds:
Amber - 5.41
Summer - 5.46
Both swim on a team 4x a week and I am in charge of their dryland program, so I incorporate crossfit routines into dryland. We will try to do strict CF on the weekends so we can post more often.
