| Special Price $125 Revised 2012, the CrossFit Kids Curriculum (Lesson Plans) for preteens and teens is Standards Based, aligned with National Standards for Physical Education (NASPE) and comprises a basic class outline and block planning for introducing the CrossFit stable of exercises and skills and beginning a comprehensive physical education program within a structured environment. The curriculum has been designed for middle school and high school students and is intended for public and private school use, but will also work at a CrossFit affiliate or home school location. In addition to providing 30 classes in three progressive Blocks, the 2012 revision also includes a fourth Block of 10 advanced classes and a compendium of 107 WODs and 17 Advanced WODs for middle school and high school and scaled for Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Novice abilities. Links to essential issues of CrossFit Kids Magazine as well as to video demonstrations of many of the movements and workouts supplement the curriculum. The curriculum can be printed but is also great for use onsite on a smartphone or PDA where links to exercise demonstrations can be used real time. Block A classes require no equipment with the exception of a pull-up bar/station. Block B begins work on weighted movements without loads or with PVC/wooden dowels. Block C focuses on more complex movements and exercises. Assumes basic knowledge of CrossFit exercises, terms, and methods. | $105 The CrossFit Kids Preschool Curriculum has been set up to provide structured and progressive lessons for young children who are experiencing a critical period for amassing gross motor skills. Each Block of classes consists of lessons that address the crucial developmental markers for preschool aged children while maintaining the highest standard for physical fitness that is the trademark of CrossFit programming. Preschool programming is focused on the development of gross motor skills, basic strength and addressing the need for bone and vestibular development. The First Block of Classes consists of lessons that require little to no equipment (with the exception of a bar and/or rings). Included in Block A are squats, opposite arm & leg coordination, skipping, jumping and grip strength development. Block B begins work with the least complex movements, without weight or with PVC/wooden dowels, including rolling, spinning ( vestibular focus) balance and planking ( midline stability) followed by Blocks C and D which continue to incorporate the fundamental and foundational movements, that will be built upon in later life. Proprioceptive activity is developed throughout the program. These Curriculum include links to twelve recent issues of the CrossFit Kids Magazine. (Oct. 2008 through Sept. 2009) Duration and Configuration Forty Eight 20 minute Classes - Configure as needed.
