How do I tell where I (my child) should start?

Click on the white Dawg icon for a detailed explanation of the "Dawgs".
Comments or Questions:
- I need to know what ages levels each of the ranges are for crossfit kids are ie. Big Dawgs, puppies etc... I have ten year old son and we'd like to work out together. Can we do it together?

- Joy,
Click on the icon of the dog and it will direct you to the explanations of each 'dawg' - including an age range. You can do the workouts together, just intensify or scale yours according to your fitness level.

- Can someone explain the buy in and cash out.
I am assuming that is the warm up and cool down?

- The buy in and cash out are primarily for skill work. It is used to address areas that require extra work and/or don't necessarily come up in the WOD's. They do, however, serve a dual purpose of being a great warm up and cool down.

- In the buy in or buy out what do the => mean? Are all the exercises to be done, or are they all equal, and one should be done for the warm up?

- the=> mean one exercises seemlessly moves to the next.
All exercises are to be done as capacity dictates, in the warm up.

- My kids are 4-6 and fall into thte buttercup range. i noticed there are very few workouts each week for buttercups, is this correct? Should my little ones just be doing this once per week? thank you

- The buttercup scaling is designed for when the puppy scaling is a little too much for the beginner CrossFitter. It is not intended to suggest the frequency of how often to workout for those who are buttercups. If there is a buttercup scaling for the WOD and your kids fall into that range then have them do the buttercup scaling, otherwise have them complete the puppy scaling if deemed safe.
