How do I become a CrossFit Kids Trainer?
To become a Certified CrossFit Kids Trainer you must first be CrossFit Level 1 Certified, then attend a CrossFit Kids Certification.
You may register for a CFK Certification if you have not yet attended but are registered for a CrossFit Level 1 Certification.
Comments or Questions:
- Hey I am interested in becoming certified but I am moving to Naples, Fl in August. I wouldn't mind getting certified in VA, MD or D.C. but I was wondering if there is a Naples location or one within driving distance?

- Hello- I have been doing crossfit for a while off the site and am looking at getting my level 1 cert this fall. My wife is a Pediatrician and we have an interest in crossfit kids. A few questions we have:1) Are there stand alone crossfit kids gyms? or is most of the kids training done within a traditional cf affiliate. 2) What kind of fees to parents pay for their kids to go to a cfkids training facility? 3) Do some of the affiliates tap into local youth programs for children i.e homeschooling networks and co-ops for exercise? Thanks for your time!- Charlie Pool

Currently CFK certs are offered only in Ramona CA, with few exceptions. However there will be one in Ft Worth Texas in August of 2009.

There are actually a few other CFK Affiliate gyms with Pediatricians as owners. Most CFK Affiliates run adult programs, but not all. Some are Athletic Program Focused with Teen and Kids Programs only. Fees vary widely with demographics.
Many CFK affiliates work with Schools, public, private and homeschool networks ( please email me and I can give you details-contacts .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address))

- Hi Al,
We offer monthly certification seminars in Ramona, California-just outside of San Diego. With very few exceptions we do not travel for our certifications. The logistics of a traveling cert would be difficult. We offer three live kids classes and use kids and teens for various demos. It would be quite difficult for us to travel with all the people and gear necessary to make this work. And we simply aren't willing to diminish the positive experience of the cert in any way. In place regional certs are being developed, however the timeline for implementation is uncertain.
We hope to see you at a CrossFit Kids Certification Seminar in the near future.
